Meet the latest couple in The Chupi Engagement Series: Tash and Nathan. Tash tells us about her gorgeous engagement at sunrise last weekend with her dream Queen of Hearts Grey Diamond ring.
We met on our J1 in Cape Cod in back in 2011. Each year, we usually participate in the the Darkness into Light walk, in aid of Pieta House. However this year, as you know, the Darkness into Light walks were cancelled and a sunrise campaign was launched instead.
We live close to the sea so we decided to get up and walk down to watch the sunrise. While I (Tash) was taking photos of the sunrise, Nathan got down on one knee, kneeling on a rock covered in seaweed. I thought he was just resting as we had been down there for a while.
I heard Nathan say “Tash” and I turned around to see a gorgeous pink Chupi box containing my beautiful engagement ring!
Then I said: “You’re going to have to wash those tracksuit pants when you get home!” and went back to taking photos. Then I heard Nathan say “Tash” and I turned around to see a gorgeous pink Chupi box containing my beautiful engagement ring! After a few moments of leaving him hanging (I was in total shock), I finally said yes and we continued to enjoy the sunrise together!
We had visited the Chupi Store in Powerscourt a few months ago as I wanted to look at a necklace. While there, Nathan asked if I wanted to try on rings. I was a little confused but I did. I adored the Queen of Hearts ring but didn’t think that Nathan was going to purchase it or propose any time soon. I just loved the story behind the ring . I love that so much thought has gone into the design of not only the piece but the beautiful boxes and their gorgeous quotes!
When I look at my engagement ring I just smile. I never thought
that I was a diamond girl. I’ve always been mad about shoes and handbags. But, this has just blown me away! I adore it!
Nathan arranged the purchasing and delivery of my engagement ring via telephone and email communication with the Chupi Jewellery Consultants. He found everyone to be incredibly helpful. They even packaged the engagement ring in a large box so that Nathan could pass it off as a birthday present delivery for me (I turn 30 in June). I had no idea that in fact it was my engagement ring!
We haven’t made any plans for the wedding yet. We have had little discussions but we’re trying to just enjoy being engaged for now!
