It’s no surprise that we adore weddings here at Chupi HQ. From venues, to dresses and favourite moments on the day, we asked the Chupi Team to share with you their gorgeous wedding days. In this installment we speak to Anna, Production Manager at Chupi who tells us all about her gorgeous wedding day in Mount Druid, Co. Westmeath.

The Venue

“We got married in Mount Druid, Co. Westmeath. My wedding was vintage inspired. I have always enjoyed shopping for vintage clothes, so it felt right to go for a look I love and felt comfortable in. On the day, I had the most amazing hair and make-up artists who perfectly captured that 1950s glamour I was looking for. I love to craft, so the venue was filled with lots of little personal touches that continued the vintage theme.”

The Dress

“I was engaged and married within 3 months, so there was definitely a little pressure to find that perfect dress!  I’ve always known that I wanted a lace dress. When I tried on my dress in the first shop I went to, I just knew it was the one. I wore cream sparkly shoes with my dress. I also had a reliable pair of white converse on standby for dancing.

For jewellery, I wore Pearl drop earrings and a bracelet borrowed from my maid of honour. This doubled up as my something borrowed.

It’s so difficult to choose just one favourite memory from the day! But myself and my husband chose to do a ‘First Look’ before the ceremony. It was a truly special moment we had together to soak in the magic of this special day, time to take a breath, be excited and say I love you in private.”

Advice for brides to be

“My advice to brides to be is: don’t get too stressed out organising the wedding. On the big day, you won’t even notice all the little things you worried about! And remember to take time to some time out for just you and your new husband. You’ll have lots of people to talk to on the day, but I think it’s important that you have a few private moments for just the two of you.”
